I'm one of those people that can spot typos in the split-second the fine print is flashed during TV ads, and can't read a newspaper without exclaiming over botched headlines and punctuation. When I worked full-time in business, I was the person who was handed the proofs for annual reports, 10-Ks, and marketing materials. In a lot of the projects I have handled – both then and since – I have found errors that many other pairs of eyes had missed.

Ah, you may be thinking, if so many people don't notice spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors, is it really important to eliminate them from your written work?

Trust me, there are still plenty of people who will notice. Those people will come away with the impression that you are unprofessional or lazy if you send out work with obvious errors.

To ensure your work reflects well on you, I can do the following:

-         Correct misspellings, improper grammar, and punctuation errors;

-         Suggest alternate wording for awkward or unclear passages;

-         Verify sums, table and page references; and,

-         Ensure consistency throughout your document.
